This weeks post seems to have come very quickly, maybe that is because I only posted last weeks a couple of days ago. These posts are part of a Project 52 that I am doing in conjunction with a wonderful group of ladies from the Bloom Forum, if you have time head over to the Bloom forum it is a photographers playground.
This weeks theme is ‘Sleeping’, something that is not done anywhere near enough in this house. My 1st hope was to get some shots of my youngest jumping on my bed early in the morning, his favourite way to say good hello. My 1st and last chance to get something was Saturday morning, unfortunately bad light meant I was out of luck. Time then escaped me with a 12 hour work day today (Sunday). So finally I had to go with horrible lamp light and take a shot when I got home from work this evening at 9pm.
Oh and if you have time check out last weeks post below

This weeks theme ‘Texture’ I’m sorry to say is being posted terribly late as a result of work and holidays. my approach to the theme was to take a look at some of the textures that nature brings, both beautiful and the not so beautiful……

This weeks theme is ‘Fresh/Crisp’ and with heading off on holidays, a trip to Walking with Dinosaurs and work I feel like I am busier this week than ever. SO I did a last minute rush to the supermarket for berries and none. So I had to make do…..

This weeks theme is ‘Joy/Bliss’ and after a crazy week, with 1/2 the week spent in Melbourne for work, I finally had a chance to get a shot on Saturday (Sunday I was going to work so it had to get done). I decided a place that brought ‘joy’ to myself and the boys was ideal for the theme, unfortunately the lure of playing with the girls next door meant my call for a walk to the beach was met with a burst of opposition. So to the boys disgust I dragged them down the beach, the dragging stopped as soon as we were out the front door and they headed forth with the excitement of knowing the might find crabs. For me the beach is a place where my problems can briefly be washed away and we can all relax and of course I love the joy the boys find in it, always keen to explore and strip down for a swim if the weather even slightly permits.

The following shot was an out take, that I had to include. Point a camera at my kids and they run around like crazies just so you can NOT get a shot, but this is what you get when their Auntie Megan pulls out some bribes. The bribes being a box of Smarties, a chocolate treat a little like M&M’s.

And of course Happy Mothers day to all the mums out there!
NOTE: This week also moves me to my new blog, its still a work in progress and I need to add slide-show and sort out a few things but I’m pretty happy with the great template by Cinnamon Girl Studio. If anything is not showing up properly for anyone please let me know, there were a couple of things that don’t show properly on my iPhone (titles) and I was wondering how far the problem spreads. Thanks Cara.
Its week 16, where is the year going, welcome to this week of the Bloom Fab 15. We are a group of photographers who get together each week to explore a new theme through our images. We all met at the Bloom Forum a must go site for photographers.
This weeks theme is ‘Paper’ and after finding a wonderful paper map of the world I decided this would be my prop to inspire this weeks shot. Unfortunately things did not go to plan, so unhappy with the image I had Saturday evening, I decided a change of shoot was necessary. The plan was paper planes flying with a beautiful blue sky beyond. Well after a day of grey sky and rain I decided to stick with my 1st shot. So here is ‘Paper’…….. (The map is there somewhere and the weird fluffy hairdo is actually a hat, he is in his favourite Davy Crocket outfit with racoon skin (fake) hat).
On a positive note I tried out a new buy from Vol25, a new set of fabulous blog frames,I love them.
