A crazy week for me see’s a late night entry so excuse the ramblings. For anyone new to my site this is part of a Project 52 between 15 photographers who met at the marvelous Bloom forum. Each week we explore a new theme. This weeks theme being ‘hot or cold’.

My plans were for a macro shot of  iced water but time had different plans. Work was crazy with starts at 9am and not home until after 10pm and Friday was moving day and panic packing. How can one family fill so many boxes? Anyway time meant a change of plans and waking up early Saturday morning I got a shot of my 1st sunrise from my new home. A firey pink sky always makes me think of heat, so though not technically ‘hot’ we did have a beautiful sunny day followed by a late change. This mornings sunrise only showed grey sky and rain.

Its week 6 of the Fab 15′s Project 52. Each week 15 photographers have got together to explore a new theme. Our gathering place the wonderful Bloom forum. This weeks theme is Black & White.

Its been a crazy week for me (make that month) with work busy and only 5 more sleeps to moving day. Subsequently this weeks shot had to be a quick grab. So when the very rare event of my youngest falling asleep during the day occured I grabbed a my camera for a quick pic. I did not realise at the time that my poor little man had a raging temperature. After feeling his head, I made a grab for the thermometer which read 39.4 C (or 102.9F). Fortunately he responded well to some medicine (which he often fakes sick in the hope of getting) and a few hours latter was running around like a crazy.

Back again for week 5 of a Project 52 blog circle, made up of some wonderful photographers from over at the Bloom Forum. A wonderful site for photographers to lose themselves in.

I think this weeks theme could easily be used to describe the exact opposite of what my life is right now. So need I say a rushed shot but sharing a very important “together time” of my youngest with his grandmother.

For new visitors, 52 weeks is a photography project that sees a new theme explored every week. I am part of a group with some amazing photographers and lovely ladies from the Bloom forum. One of my favorite spots to be when online.

This week introduced what sounded a very simple theme of ‘in the home’, but once I started to think about it, it really drew a blockage for me. Silly as it may sound my house no longer feels like my home, so how to photograph this theme? In fact I am only in my house for another 2 1/2 weeks before moving into what will become the family home for me and my boys. So in the end I settled for taking images of the boys in the house, with ‘Kitty Miller’ who will be making the move with us, our little cat who came to us as a stray has brought up a whole host of challenges (like how to keep her in the yard and not in the paddocks over the road without caging us all in).

First my little man in a moment of contemplation, in one of the few pockets of light we have.

And next Rory with Kitty Miller. They are the best of friends as he drags her around in unnatural poses.
