Daily Lifestyle Project/ 365 |
I jumped the gun with my 1st post for this project thinking I needed to get something up straight away. However, what I was really hoping to do was post as much of the project as possible in film. So I’m starting the year again, but this time on film. My aim is to post every Monday, a week at a time.
Day 1: Tuesday January 1st, 2013…..
Mamiya 645afd, Kodak Portra 400
My youngest, Callum, at play hiding from his big brother.
Day 2: Wednesday January 2nd, 2013…..
Mamiya 645afd , Kodak Portra 400
Cal enjoying some morning cartoons in his pj’s.
Day 3: Thursday January 3rd, 2013…..
Mamiya 645afd, Kodak Portra 400
My office for the evening. A quick snap while at work and waiting for the group I would be taking to explore the rock platform that night.
Day 4: Friday January 4th, 2013…..
Mamiya 645afd, Kodak Portra 400
Off the island and onto the mainland to get a film developed.
Fun on the local water slide.

Film on Friday | December |
Its time again for ‘Film Friday’ This month shots care of a trial film, shot quickly yesterday on my new (or should i say old) Nikon F100. I wanted the convenience of a 35mm that i could more readily get developed and scanned (i had it processed w/scans today, unfortunately the disk would not open so i was forced back to home scanning).

Bloom Project 52 | Week 51/52 | ‘Soft Focus’ |
This year I have had periods where keeping up with the blog circle with the wonderful ladies at Bloom has been difficult. So my apologies to my fellow blog circle memebers. I have loved sharing images with you all and been inspired by all your work.
This week the theme, is ‘soft focus’, so i chose to share a film shot i have just scanned. There is something about film that allows me to be more forgiving, and it can become part of the charm of a shot.

Bloom Project 52 | Week 32/52 | ‘Little’ |
It’s week 32 of my Project 52 and the theme is ‘little’. My 1st thoughts for this weeks theme were macro, but keen to shoot and attempt to process more film I decided to follow a different track. So I’ve gone with my ‘little’ man. I realise ‘little’ is subjective when it comes to our children, but being my youngest Cal at 5 years old is still little to me.

Bloom Project 52 | Week 31/52 | ‘Numbers’ |
I’t's week 31 of my Project 52 with the wonderful ladies from the Bloom forum. This weeks theme is ‘numbers’. At first I ran a blank on what to shoot, but then it came to me. Photography and numbers have been something I have combined this week in making my 1st efforts to develop black & white film. The process involves measuring specific chemicals, timing the use of these chemicals, and counting out the right number of inversions at the right time.
For my 1st efforts I used Ilford chemicals and attempted to process 2 films, both involving different measures of chemicals and different times for processing. Below is one of my efforts, check out more on my Film on Friday post here.
