Film in Friday | April

This months Film on Friday brings a walk to our islands highest point (not very high at 112m). This 6km walk had Cal whinging after the 1st kilometer, until I suggested a $2 ‘no whinge’ bribe, from then on it was all adventure.

And a final hit of warm weather…..

For more Film on Friday head over to see what Heidi Adams has in stall for us, her work is always a treat to see!

Daily Lifestyle Project/ 365

I jumped the gun with my 1st post for this project thinking I needed to get something up straight away. However, what I was really hoping to do was post as much of the project as possible in film. So I’m starting the year again, but this time on film. My aim is to post every Monday, a week at a time.

Day 1: Tuesday January 1st, 2013…..

Mamiya 645afd, Kodak Portra 400

My youngest, Callum, at play hiding from his big brother.

Day 2: Wednesday January 2nd, 2013…..

Mamiya 645afd , Kodak Portra 400

Cal enjoying some morning cartoons in his pj’s.

Day 3: Thursday January 3rd, 2013…..

Mamiya 645afd, Kodak Portra 400

My office for the evening. A quick snap while at work and waiting for the group I would be taking to explore the rock platform that night.

Day 4: Friday January 4th, 2013…..

Mamiya 645afd, Kodak Portra 400

Off the island and onto the mainland to get a film developed.

Day 5: Saturday January 5th, 2013…..
Mamiya 645afd, Kodak Tmax 400, home developed and scanned
Rory has loved the chance to go snorkelling this summer.

Day 6: Sunday January 6th, 2013…..
Mamiya 645afd, Kodak Tmax400, home developed and scanned

Fun on the local water slide.

NOW…. Please keep the blog chain going by visiting Tina Hunter and enjoy some snow, such a contrast to our current beach weather.

Bloom Project 52 | Week 52/52 | ‘Cheer’

This week the theme for my project 52 is ‘cheer’. As such a Christmas morning snap shot seemed fitting.

Merry Christmas to all, thankyou for sharing the year through images.

Film on Friday | December

Its time again for ‘Film Friday’ This month shots care of a trial film, shot quickly yesterday on my new (or should i say old) Nikon F100. I wanted the convenience of a 35mm that i could more readily get developed and scanned (i had it processed w/scans today, unfortunately the disk would not open so i was forced back to home scanning).

Kodak Portra 160/ Nikon f100

Now follow the blog circle around to see more, starting with the very talented Celeste Jones,  Delaware Portrait Photographer.

Bloom Project 52 | Week 51/52 | ‘Soft Focus’

This year I have had periods where keeping up with the blog circle with the wonderful ladies at Bloom has been difficult. So my apologies to my fellow blog circle memebers. I have loved sharing images with you all and been inspired by all your work.

This week the theme, is ‘soft focus’, so i chose to share a film shot i have just scanned. There is something about film that allows me to be more forgiving, and it can become part of the charm of a shot.

Bloom Project 52 | Week 50/52 | ‘Opposites’

This week the boys and I have had a week away with their grandmother. While most of the week i shot film i did bring my digital in case an opportunity to shoot this weeks theme ‘opposites’ arose. Fortunately it did when we visited Buchan Caves, I figured the stalactites and stalagmites would make great opposites.

This week the theme is ‘silver’ so with Christmas tree loaded with ball-balls finding a silver one for this weeks shot seemed a given.
