This months Film on Friday brings a walk to our islands highest point (not very high at 112m). This 6km walk had Cal whinging after the 1st kilometer, until I suggested a $2 ‘no whinge’ bribe, from then on it was all adventure.

While I shot film everyday in January I have struggled to scan and get it on my blog, but finally some film to share with a weekend we had away.

I jumped the gun with my 1st post for this project thinking I needed to get something up straight away. However, what I was really hoping to do was post as much of the project as possible in film. This year i have decided to attempt a project 365 for the 1st time. I am doing it as part of a Bloom forum daily lifestyle project where every month we will form a new blog circle. I am optioning to post weekly rather than daily and have decided to get the ball rolling with my 1st two days.

Its time again for ‘Film Friday’ This month shots care of a trial film, shot quickly yesterday on my new (or should i say old) Nikon F100. I wanted the convenience of a 35mm that i could more readily get developed and scanned (i had it processed w/scans today, unfortunately the disk would not open so i was forced back to home scanning).

This year I have had periods where keeping up with the blog circle with the wonderful ladies at Bloom has been difficult. So my apologies to my fellow blog circle memebers. I have loved sharing images with you all and been inspired by all your work.

This week the theme, is ‘soft focus’, so i chose to share a film shot i have just scanned. There is something about film that allows me to be more forgiving, and it can become part of the charm of a shot.

This week the boys and I have had a week away with their grandmother. While most of the week i shot film i did bring my digital in case an opportunity to shoot this weeks theme ‘opposites’ arose. Fortunately it did when we visited Buchan Caves, I figured the stalactites and stalagmites would make great opposites.
